PETER Diving's recent exhibition at BOOT, the leading yachting and water sports show in Düsseldorf, was a great success and provided us with with new partners and new opportunities to move forward in the year ahead.
It was fantastic to speak to representatives from both DAN (Divers Alert Network) and DiveAssure, the two leading insurance companies for both divers and dive centres. Both organisations confirmed that diving with PETER Diving System is fully covered by their insurance policies, as with standard recreational scuba activities. So our diving instructors, customers and users can enjoy the PETER Diving experience worry free. Great news for everyone!
We have been operating with a training Specialty developed by our Director of training under SSI, Scuba Schools International, with great success for the past year. This has allowed for a structured and standardised approach to teaching throughout the PETER Diving operators. This is a useful tool for PETER instructors and guides to follow while ensuring that teaching standards and safety are maintained at a high level according to WRSTC guidelines.
Actually SSI is the second WRSTC Council Member approving PETER Diving's protocols of training. Before SSI, already IDDA - International Disabled Diving Association - adopted the PETER Diving concept based in standarized certification procedures.
Having the support of such a well respected and dynamic dive training organisation such as SSI has been pivotal in the progress PETER Diving has made during 2017. Now with new partnerships being formed with leading dive centres from other WRSTC training agencies worldwide, it is the logical next step to allow our new partners the same privilege and professional support by developing our Specialty for use under the other WRSTC member agencies. Ensuring consistently high standards across the board at all affiliated PETER Points.
For instructors teaching in other markets looking to broaden their horizons and depth of knowledge the SSI Specialty is available and we are happy to train instructor trainers to be able to create their own PETER Guides within their own market. With PETER's popularity spreading it can be a useful string to add to any instructors bow. As the system is so simple to use the course mainly focuses on in-water teaching techniques and usually takes around 4-6 hours learning how best to handle divers using the PETER Diving System in different scenarios and how to use it to your greatest advantage.
If you are interested in adding the PETER Diving Specialty to your skill set then let us know by contacting us and we will be happy to welcome you to the PETER Diving Team.
