PETER Diving is proud to now collaborate with NGO Equilibrio Marino. We met the team at the More Aqua Show first edition in Madrid and after learning about their work decided to donate equipment and training to their team to integrate PETER Diving System into their work. Equilibrio Marino will use our equipment for their science and conservation work, as well as organising Try PETER Diving experiences for children along their events for rising environmental consciousness.
We at PETER Diving are very committed to the environment and to marine conservation. Since our beginning we have operated our own conservation project, TRITON Project, to contribute to the conservation of our beloved marine world. The TRITON Project is part of our pledge of sustainability and respect for sea-life. Through this initiative, we allocate 1% of our profits to various organisations and international collectives working in and devoted to caring for the oceans. Our commitment is an essential part of our corporate culture, our defining brand values and of our part played in the global ecosystem as human beings.
Besides our donations we also take part in voluntary activities when the opportunities arise and we offer PETER Diving System equipment sets to any organisation working in marine conservation that can find an application for the concept in its scientific method. As such when we met NGO Equilibrio Marino in Madrid we felt it was a perfect collaboration to contribute our system to their work.
Equilibrio Marino is a non-profit association that promotes marine conservation and the recovery of our seas. As a main objective, they promote the effective protection of marine areas to guarantee the recovery of marine ecosystems. They promote aquatic ecotourism and diving that respects the environment to provide resources to marine spaces and generate benefits for neighbouring populations. In order to meet their objectives, Equilibrio Marino develop different projects of Marine Protected Areas, Research and Conservation, Marine Clean-ups, Aquatic Ecotourism, Communication and Audiovisuals, Awareness Events and Artificial Reef Parks. More about their work can be found, here.
Over the past few years, this entire ecosystem has been posed with numerous threat factors which are altering the global equilibrium. Small gestures help to preserve the environment, such as avoiding the use of plastics, taking care of beaches by removing the rubbish, practicing water sport activities by the sea which are sustainable and above all, opting for education and raising of awareness regarding the importance of caring for the sea. Every contribution is important, however small and we hope that through our initiatives and those of Equilibrio Marino, we move towards ending the danger that is affecting the lives of every species and the beautiful underwater world that we hold dear in our hearts.
